Senior Digital Strategist

Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for a senior role in our strategy practice. The Senior Digital Strategist at Enlighten leads strategic consulting projects related to consumer insight, brand planning, research, digital campaign development, and business/user requirements related to web and application development projects. Senior Digital Strategists draw upon their knowledge as business experts in crafting digital strategies that bridge business fundamentals with the opportunities and advantages of the Internet channel. The role requires leadership, strong business acumen, and a keen understanding of digital marketing, media, analytics and technology.
Skills/Qualifications
- Has a minimum of 6 years work experience in strategic consulting or marketing, media and brand strategy. An advanced professional degree is strongly preferred (MBA from a top-tier university).
- Experience at a marketing consultancy, digital agency or traditional advertising agency is a must.
- Deep expertise in multiple consumer segments (CPG a plus) with a solid grounding in consumer insight, brand marketing, digital technology, and business strategy.
- Demonstrated success in crafting digital marketing and media strategies along with a practical understanding of the technologies and tactics leveraged to achieve these strategies.
- Solid grounding in consumer research and behavioral analysis including both primary/secondary and qualitative/quantitative research methodologies.
- Must be a polished, persuasive, and strategic communicator – both written and verbal/presentation.
- Opinionated, decisive, diplomatic, strategic, charismatic, creative, and collaborative are key traits.
- Individual must be an avid consumer of and active participant in the digital media revolution. Casual observers need not apply.
Areas of Responsibility
- Writes situational analyses, POVs and other business analyses reports that lay the foundation for digital marketing, media, website, and application development projects.
- Develops strategic roadmaps through the use of hypothesis generation, issue tree creation, and fact-based analysis.
- Writes strategic briefs, new business development support materials and assists and/or leads sales pitches.
- Leads and manages consumer/user research studies that yield insights into online behaviors and attitudes.
- Leads the online market intelligence needs for clients.
- Outlines customer and business objectives for client projects.
- Facilitates strategic and creative ideation and brainstorming sessions – both internal and client-facing.
- Contributes to the thought leadership of the company.
- Interfaces with lead account and creative teams at the agency to deliver smart, differentiated, and strategically grounded ideas to our clients.
